Buses
The school is part of the Rodney Transport Group
Bus 1
Travels along state Highway 16 and turns at the Glorit HallBus 2
From RD1: The bus travels up SH 16, turning right into Port Albert Rd, then turning left into Underwood Rd. Then left onto J V Grant Rd, left onto Wharehine Rd, back to SH 16 turning left, traveling north again to Ingleton Rd, where the bus then turns and heads south back to Tauhoa School.
Students out of zone and traveling to and from Wellsford have a bus stop outside the community centre and are dropped off at PG Wrightson at the top of State Highway 16. For further details about out of zone travel please contact the school office.
All children are expected to behave on the bus and are not to distract the bus driver. Students who are travelling on the bus, are bound by the Code of Conduct in place and inline with the Health and Safety Guidelines. A copy of this is included in the enrolment pack.
As the bus runs can be full, it is important to contact the school if your child is not required to go on the bus or if you would like he/she to go on another run. We will try to accommodate your needs but may not be able to due to the full runs.
Students cannot make changes to their travel arrangements. Changes to bus travel must be made by parents and caregivers only. A simple phone call or note to the office is all it takes.
Bus Fees | Outside our Transport Zone
From 2019, if your child is attending school from outside our transport zone , our enrollment zone, a small charge of $50 per term is required for them to travel by bus to school.
